Quality Management

Mongoose’s Quality Management System (QMS) has been designed to meet BS EN ISO 9001 using the guidelines laid down by the UK Department of Trade and Industry's TickIT scheme. The QMS provides a formal framework within which all members of staff are trained to operate. This framework contains all standards, processes and procedures that Mongoose’s projects must adhere to.

This includes:

  • Project Management
  • Risk and Issue Management
  • Change Management
  • Configuration Management
  • Implementation Management
  • Documentation Review Procedures
  • Dependency Management
  • Product Testing
  • Defect Management
  • Defining Product Descriptions
  • Defining Entry, Exit and Acceptance criteria

Mongoose provides an independent, integrated Quality Assurance and Test Management function, with a series of QA Gate reviews for key project stages, such as: Project Initiation; Requirements; Design; Build; Supplier Test; UAT; Deploy.

Each stage within a gate review is assessed from two perspectives; project control and product quality.

Project Control – This part of the review assesses whether quality standards, processes and procedures defined in the quality management plan are being adhered to. If these standards are not adhered to, this could have an extremely detrimental effect on the quality of the overall solution delivered. This would be identified and corrective action would be taken immediately to rectify the situation, maintaining quality.

Product Quality – Static analysis is performed on all key documentation for each stage in a project lifecycle. This adopts the test method of finding defects earlier in the project lifecycle to improve quality and reduce overall cost. Mongoose’s method of static analysis reviews sets of documentation within a functional area, rather than reviewing each document in isolation.
